Does the hair sample need to be close to the scalp?
The closest to the scalp the more accurate reading you will get of your currant health stasis.
How much hair is required?
Does it matter if my hair is coloured or just been washed?
Coloured hair does not interfere with the results however hair dye may come up as an irritant if your body is being damaged by it.
If I shave my hair can I use other hair like pubic hair?
It really is best to use hair from the head so we advise you to just save all your hair clippings from you next hair cut and use all of those.
I have not eaten any dairy (for example) for several months because it makes me really unwell, how long does it need to be back in my diet for the test to detect it?
If you know something makes you sick do not introduce it back in your diet just for the sake of the hair test to tell you to take it out. If your body reacts badly to something the test is likely to pick it up anyway.
Can I test my baby?
Yes. Hair testing can be done on all age groups. If you are breast feeding the test may pick up food allergens affecting the baby via the mother's breast milk.
This is my babies first hair cut can I have the sample back?
Absolutely! Please let us know if you would like the sample returned and we are more than happy to return it to you.
